No. OwlVoice is 100% serverless and does not utilize intermediate servers. Your voice-to-text processing occurs directly via Android's native offline recognition system, and interpreted tokens are sent directly to the OpenRouter API securely from your device.
While native Android speech recognition can work offline, interpreting requests requires an LLM, which needs an active internet connection to communicate with OpenRouter's API services.
All authentication details (OAuth tokens and OpenRouter keys) are stored encrypted locally on the device using Android's EncryptedSharedPreferences, which are backed by the hardware-level Android Keystore system. Your credentials never leave your phone.
